PrivatEdu.ai - Private AI Server
Exciting news in the K12 space — especially for those of us who believe AI should serve schools, not the other way around.
I’m thrilled to be partnering with USAKansas and Alan Landever from LandeverAI, in launching a new initiative we’re calling PrivatEdu.

This isn’t just another AI tool — it’s a full AI infrastructure, built by educators, for educators, and run by a nonprofit that puts school needs — not shareholder returns — first.
PrivatEdu gives school districts the ability to run their own AI system on their own server, with full control over:
- What AI models they use
- Who gets access
- How custom bots are built and deployed
- And most importantly — how student and staff data is protected
No third-party platforms. No guesswork. No handing over control. We also believe this will be WAY cheaper then a monthly subscription especially if you run the open-source models. If you want to connect it to OpenAI or Gemini you can and run all those models at a fraction of the cost of the $20/month.
Districts can build and launch unlimited custom bots, aligned to THEIR instructional goals, THEIR tech vision, and THEIR community needs — all within a secure, closed environment they manage themselves (with our support if needed).
As AI continues to accelerate, I’ve been in a lot of rooms with IT Directors and Superintendents asking the same hard questions:
- “How do we move forward with AI safely?”
- “How do we ensure equity and access while protecting data?”
- “How do we build for the future without losing control of the present?”
This is one path forward. It’s not flashy. It’s foundational.
